Update as of late Wednesday, April 20, 2016
This is the latest update from Ecuador as of late Wednesday. Our missionaries are working with their ministry partners to assist those that are grieving, injured, and who have lost their homes. Please continue to join us in praying for all those involved and please prayerfully consider giving to one of the funds below.
23,506 Living in shelters
1,125 buildings destroyed
608 buildings damaged
281 schools damaged
Our missionaries in Ecuador and Uruguay urgently need your partnership to respond to recent natural disasters.
In Ecuador, at least 413 people have been killed, and over 2500 injured, after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck this past weekend. Two of our missionary families, the Flys and the Darnells, are asking for your help to work with the local church in disaster relief efforts.
In Uruguay, an extremely unusual weather pattern produced a tornado last weekend that devastated the small town of Dolores. Rhonda Criswell, one of our missionaries, is seeking partners for local disaster relief work through her local church, which is based in Dolores.
