Global Outreach International

New Partnership & Construction at the Home Office

02.09.17
Global Outreach is partnering with Eight Days of Hope!

Global Outreach is excited to be partnering with local disaster relief ministry Eight Days of Hope. Since its beginning, Eight Days of Hope has been a volunteer-run organization, mobilizing thousands of people to respond to natural disasters in several states with care, debris clearing, new construction, and the message of the gospel. Beginning January 1, 2017, Eight Days of Hope will have its first full-time staff and will embark on a new partnership with Global Outreach International as the mission sending organization for its staff.

GO and Eight Days of Hope will also be sharing office space. Workers have already started building out a new open office inside the existing Global Outreach warehouse. This space will help Global's growing staff, and in return Eight Days of Hope will have several of the existing offices at their disposal.

"We hope we can learn from one another," says Rory Tyer, Global Outreach VP of Marketing. "Steve Tybor and the team have done an incredible job mobilizing thousands of volunteers to do disaster relief in Jesus' name. We believe that proclaiming the Gospel and doing good, according to Scripture, should go hand-in-hand, and our missionaries around the world have practiced this for years. So we're delighted to partner with them and excited to see what the Lord continues to accomplish in both our organizations."

Steve Tybor, president of Eight Days of Hope, gave a ten-minute talk at the Global Outreach Made for Mission conference in November. He told stories from disaster relief projects and emphasized that all believers are made for mission--the Lord uses all, regardless of skillset or experience.

Eight Days of Hope staff will officially join the Global Outreach mission family after walking through Missionary Orientation Training December 5-12.
