Greetings to you in Jesus' name. I have recently returned to the USA for a home assignment after 15 years living among the Acholi people of northern Uganda (with a 1-year assignment in S. Sudan).

Bob and Michelle Peterson

Bob and Michelle Peterson

After nearly 20 years in the pastorate stateside, Bob and Michelle Peterson served in Uganda for ten years. While in Uganda, God almost immediately began calling them into missionary care, first to the local pastors and missionaries in Uganda, next to the continent of Africa and then to the Global Outreach Home Office as Directors of Missionary Care for a season. Bob and Michelle then moved to northwest Arkansas to be closer to their children and continue as missionaries serving in missionary care.

Josh and Amanda Barbe

Josh and Amanda Barbe

We are Josh and Amanda, serving as care coordinators and transition coaches within the care team of Global Outreach International. Having served overseas ourselves as missionaries in Asia for a number of years, we have learned the value of missionaries being cared for well. We are focused and passionate about coming alongside missionaries, being their encouragers, supporters, and intentional listeners.

I am Sarah Wedgeworth, and I serve at Global Outreach Belize Vo-tech. I help with remedial reading and math in the classroom, along with other operations around the school's campus. The Vo-tech school trains boys to be men of God and ministers to the physical and spiritual needs of the youth of Belize.

We dedicated our lives to God, and that is not our achievement but God’s grace and plan for our lives. I share this because we live in a world that tries to accomplish things by themselves, because they think they can, but something that describes our ministry is that we just try to be in God’s plan, not ours, in every period of our lives. I started as a Cru missionary back in 2018 and after a few years, after getting married to my wife, Doroteea, God called us to move from the city where I was working with students, Iași, Romania, to a much smaller and undeveloped town called Dorohoi.

We served with Global Outreach Haiti in Titanyen for 20 years and returned to the US in the fall of 2022. We are now Mission Project Coordinators and direct projects such as the Kindergarten School, medical care for our employees, and the Child Feeding program. We support our church in Titanyen in the areas of evangelism and discipleship. We pray for peace and stability in Haiti and that we can return soon for extended visits to encourage our staff.

GTS Student Scholarships

GTS Student Scholarships

This account makes coming to GTS affordable for most church leaders. The tuition cost for each student to attend GTS for a 4-week term is about the equivalent of $175/term. That's about $700/year. A $70 scholarship per term ($280/year) helps pay about 40% of a student's cost to get training at GTS.

We are passionate about the Great Commission and the love of Christ reaching every tribe and tongue. We have a heart for the people of the Middle East and South Asia. We train and equip leaders in some of the most persecuted nations in the world. Our heart is that there would be movements of discipleship making and church plants all throughout these regions.
