Hans and Alita Walhout

Hans and Alita are passionate about Business As Mission (BAM), using entrepreneurial ventures to create positive impacts on individuals, communities, and economies. Their journey began in Ethiopia in 2010, where they managed a Dutch-owned manufacturing company in Debre Zeit. There, they witnessed firsthand the transformative power of business, while Alita also managed a sponsorship program to support the needy in the surrounding community.

In 2019, they returned to the Netherlands with their four children—Thamar, Thirza, Lucas, and Leah—and co-founded Quadraat Global (www.quadraat.global), a business development company. However, in 2023, inspired by Thamar's heartfelt request to return to Ethiopia, the entire family felt God's call to go back.

Currently, Hans oversees multiple businesses in Ethiopia through Quadraat Global and is leading a management and leadership development program for Ethiopian professionals (www.yepethiopia.com). This two-year program, grounded in servant leadership principles, equips participants with essential skills to enhance their management capabilities.

Alongside their Global friends, Steadman and Alyssa Harrison, they have also planted Covenant Fellowship Addis Ababa, a church committed to reaching out to individuals and projects in the neighborhood.
