Puertas Del Sur
Puertas del Sur is the non-profit organization through which the social ministries of La Misión Presbyterian Church operate. These social ministries (see more detail below) are focused on reaching local “at risk” children and youth as well as their families.
La Misión seeks the cultural, social, and spiritual renewal of the city of Buenos Aires through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have been deeply involved in ministering to the families of the neighboring shanty towns for over twenty years. Through our social ministries in these impoverished communities, the Lord has opened many hearts to receive the gospel of hope, meeting families’ greatest need – the one for a Savior who loves them deeply.

The three primary social ministries of Puertas del Sur are:
1. Early Childhood Education Center for 147 children, ages one through three years.
2. Weekly Soup Kitchen
3. Community Center with three main outreach programs (music classes, soccer teams and parenting workshops)
4. La Misión Micro-Enterprise to strengthen, train, and assist adults as they look for new jobs and seek to develop skills to re-enter the workplace after the pandemic.
